John R. Glover serves as the President/CEO of the North Dakota State University Foundation, an institutionally-related foundation dedicated to building enduring relationships that maximize advocacy and philanthropy to support North Dakota’s land-grant institution. The Foundation manages assets of more than $250 million and executes outreach and fundraising programs for more than 85,000 alumni around the world. Glover began his role in October 2015.

A native of Rapid City, SD, he has more than 18 years of higher education philanthropy experience. Before coming to NDSU, Glover served in numerous roles of progressive responsibility with the Iowa State University Foundation (Ames, IA) in the areas of annual giving, non-collegiate units, corporate and foundation relations, and the college of engineering. More recently, he served as Assistant Vice President of Development. Glover was a part of the Foundation team that completed an $867 million comprehensive campaign, ISU’s largest effort to date. Prior to Iowa State University Foundation, Glover spent five years with the NDSU Development Foundation, executing annual giving programs. He has a B.S. journalism degree from SDSU.

Monique Anderson is the Vice President of Development. She provides strategic leadership, management and oversight of the organization’s development team. In partnership with campus leadership, the development team is focused on advancing philanthropy to meet the goals of the University’s strategic vision and mission.

Monique served as the Director of Development at NDSU for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Science and the College of Science and Mathematics for two years. She has worked in development for nearly 30 years in healthcare, education and nonprofit organizations. Monique received a master’s degree from NDSU in Community and Regional Planning and a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College.

Allyson Peterson is the CFO/Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations for the organization. She leads the Accounting, Information Services, Donor Compliance Services, and Human Resources teams and is responsible for monitoring and directing all financial and operational aspects of the organization.

She graduated from NDSU in 2007 with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Fraud Investigation. She obtained her CPA license in 2009. Previously, she worked as an auditor in public accounting specializing in nonprofits, governments, and low-income housing audits.

Gail Dancer is the Vice President of Information Services and oversees the management of the alumni and friends database. She is also responsible for the network infrastructure and facilitating all technology and website needs for the Foundation team.

She is a 30 year employee and has been instrumental in the evolution of information services for the Foundation.

Kari Sayler, Executive Manager, is responsible for assisting the Foundation’s President/CEO and Executive Governing Board with daily operations. Her duties include managing schedules, coordinating meetings and providing administrative support.

She previously worked as a customer service representative in commercial printing, following several years of service as a program coordinator at the NDSU Foundation. She is a 2004 NDSU graduate with a degree in mass communication.

Nicole Thom-Arens, Director of Communications, leads the communication division at the NDSU Foundation and is responsible for developing and executing the Foundation’s communication strategy.

Previously, she was an assistant professor at Minot State University where she taught writing and journalism for seven years. Prior to being an academic, she worked as a television news and promotion producer in Springfield, Missouri from 2004-2007. Nicole graduated from NDSU in Dec. 2003 with a degree in mass communication and holds an MA from Missouri State University and an MFA from Lindenwood University, both in writing.
